After reading Rob's Ad on [URL Removed] I thought that this local plumber would be reliable and cost effective. His advertisement claiming: "If you are looking for a prompt, reliable, efficient and professional plumber, look no further. Free quotes, call outs & consultations. We offer Certificates of Compliance by a licensed plumber in Noordhoek & lifetime workmanship guarantees (T&Cs apply)." He worked on two geysers, replacing a thermostat, a pressure valve on one, and an element the other. The work was completed under two hours. When the bill came, he had charged R900 for materials, and R1890 for labour. At first he refused to breakdown his labour cost, saying that he doesn't charge per hour, but per job (advert says R350p/h). Later he agreed that he had been heavy handed and reduced it by R600. I settled the invoice the same day I received it. Now the geyser with the new element still trips, but he refuses to come back to look at it. When I said that He has no after sale service and if that's the way he runs his business, good luck, he replied with "go talk your to someone who will listen". I will make sure I report this dishonest, unprofessional, rude!
