This is just a quick message, to ask you to check that the hard drive you are buying from Matrix is in fact new, I bought a 3tb Seagate internal drive on the 9/01/2013 from Matrix, Alberton branch. After a month of copying work onto, it crashed. I got the old partition recovery software and ran it over night. The next morning while looking through to see what of my data could be recovered I found a previous installation had been done on it. There was data on from a user called Samantha. I have alerted the manager Marcel to the situation and cannot hold Matrix responsible but either their suppliers are selling them faulty equipment or the sales staff are messing with the equipment. Either way I am advising caution when buying hard drives from this branch.
I have been a good customer over the years as there are two branches close by, and their service people are very good and despite being slightly more expensive, it is more convenient. I will now forgo that for the better prices and better quality goods.
I wish matrix the best of luck, and wish to add that I do not want a refund or a or a "new drive", this is just to advise consumers.
