I do understand that certain stores have now started putting up boards stating that they do not accept card payments under R50 or R100. Actually speaking this is not fair at all. As far as i am concerned you just chasing a customer away. I went to Matrix in Lenasia and wanted to purchase a 16GB Flash Drive.so i chose what i wanted and gave the lady the card to generate the payment. She says or sorry we dont accept cards under R100. I'm like excuse me? This item is R99.00 so whats the problem. its not as if im buying something for R50. She refused to process the payment saying they wont accept a card under R100. I mean was R1 really goin to make a big difference? Actually havin g a card terminal is actually providing your customer with convinience and service instead you people chase customers away. In stead of arguin i went 2 blocks down and bought an 8GB Flash drive becuase they did not have 16GB in stock but i also had to pay R40 more to the other store. but you know what i paid with a smile. as i shoped there before and paid R20 with a card. Like i said he dd not have 16GB in stock and hence sent me to matrix. he didnt have to. but he has business ethics and he is a gentleman.
