Lack of customer service

On 18 December I bought a VGA to DVI-D conversion cable from a Matrix sales assistant assuring that it will work. Subsequently, it was discovered that this solution provided by Matrix did not work to which I returned the item to the shop. After a few minutes arguing with "Wouter" from Matrix that the solution is not functional and indicating that he should personally test this (and 4 tested cables later), was it indicated that there might be a problem.
As indicated by the respective individual that new stock would be received from Head office to which I will be notified. After numerous visits to the particular store, a complete lack of interested in customer care or sales drive from Wouter was clearly visible. I'm still waiting for a 5m DVI-D to DVI-D (change in a simple solution) cable with a credit note (which expires in 30 days from date issues) in hand.
If this is the lack of service to be expected from Matrix on normal client service requirements, I'm shuddering to think what will be the response on large sales. Is this the type of business Matrix have become which is not interested in customer service and sales?
