A xbox was given to us as a present last year. I hardly even played with it (only 7 times) and last week when i put it on there is no power. My wife contacted Xbox support and they informed us that it just fell out of warranty in January 2013. This is like 7 days from the time we reported it. They say they cant help us and that we need to pay R800.00 to repair it. What i cant understand is that does Xbox from Micrsoft only last a year and the cost of repair is almost half the price of a new one. Whats sad is that i just bought the kinect for it and cant use it. I am sorely disappointed that the quality of a micrsoft product is so inferior to products such as PS3. This is such a bad experience for me with this product. I still have the original packaging and if you look at this Xbox you will see that it has hardly been used.
This will appreciate any help i could get with this.
