I recently bought a 3.5mm to 3.5mm male to male extension lead from Matrix warehouse, upon plugging it into my speakers and head phones for testing it would seem the cable was faulty. Taking it back to the Matrix Warehouse I bought it from, they said they would need to speak to their head office. Waiting almost two weeks for a response all I get is cables are treated as a consumable item, we cannot refund or replace this cable.
I can understand CDs, DVDs, cartridges and paper as consumable items as you actually consume them and use them, but how does a cable get labelled as that. This is a cheat especially since you cannot really test a cable until you've left the store and it's not like the cables are put in boxes where you know they cannot be damaged in store. I've never in my life heard of cables being treated as consumables and nothing happening about. I guess it's a great way to make money sell a defective product and go oh sorry it's a consumable cannot replace it.
Judging by the attitude of the staff I really don't expect any assistance or feedback, just putting this up as a warning to others out there. Don't buy from Matrix warehouse if you value your money.
