Bought a new modem (Trendnet) from Matrix in Westgate Shopping Centre on 2/12/2013. I wanted something similar to the DLink and was told by the sales staff that the Trendnet TEW-658BRM is similar. I struggled almost three hours on the 2nd Dec to get the modem to connect to the internet. I phone Matrix the very next day and was told to phone my service provider in this case Telkom. I did so that night and again was on the phone for almost two hours with Telkom, spoke to two different staff members. they could not get the modem to connect to the internet either. I then again phoned Matrix the next day (4th Dec) complaining, I was told to bring the modem and my laptop and the technical guy will assist with the installation. I then went to Matrix Friday afternoon (6th Dec) with the modem and my laptop. The modem was tested in store and they could not get the modem to connect to the internet. I then asked for the modem to be swopped with another similar modem or to be refunded. The manager point blank refused. I had to book the modem in so that they can test it. It takes 21 days??? Really? I am still without a modem. I will never buy from Matrix Westgate ever again
