Very Bad Service and Attitude

I have visited the Long Street, Cape Town branch of Computer Mania on Monday the 7th October 2013 and received very bad service.

I had brought my faulty Netgear WiFi Router that I had bought there more than a year ago. I was well received by a junior sales consultant who invited the expetise of a more senior consultant. This consultant became belittling and condescending in his distancing of the store of any warranty responsibility.

When I visited the store I knew that my 12 warranty had expired with the retailer and needed assistance in accessing the manufacturer's 24-month warranty.

This consultant said I must go and search for Netgear and that they did not have any relation with Netgear. As I explained that I had not known of Netgear until it was sold to me at his store, he was not even willing to listen but instead grabbed the box out of hands, read it and shoved in my face the written instruction on the box that said that I should find the warranty details inside the box.

I left the store visible upset after protesting to him about his aggressive behaviour and this treatment. I cannot find Netgear South Africa and need to have my unit repaired. Please help.
