I booked in my Ipad 3 on wed 16th Jan. On booking in I explained the problem and the reception told me that off hand they can quote me R1600 to replace my screen. I told her that my device was insured so i would need the quote first to send for approval to my insurance.
On the 23rd Jan i received an invoice for R1599 (received a quote for same amount 2 days earlier) I then replied and asked if the device was fixed as I did not give the go ahead!
I called today and fiday and they told me the device was fixed and reay for collection - i NEVER GAVE THE GO AHEAD! they now tell me (noel the manager) that It was a miscommunication on their side and now i have to pay for this repair that i did not authorise! They offered me a 20% discount but that still does not make up for the fact that I did not authorise this repair? Now im stuck with paying over R1500 for something that I was still considering? They offered to take off the new screen and put back the old one... how does this help me?!
