I handed in my iPod Nano for repairs and had to wait several weeks for feedback. They eventually quoted me R800.00 to repair the device.
Almost a MONTH after I first took the device in, they informed me that the "device is irreparable and ready for collection". When I finally bothered to go and collect the iPod, they demanded I pay them R250.00 to hand it back to me! I kid you not!
When I asked why they expected me to pay R250.00 for an item they are incapable of repairing (and which I was going to have to toss in the garbage anyway) they told me it was for "labour". Of course, I refused to pay. Since when is it my duty to subsidize their incompetence and poor quotation process?
They claim they are "repair specialists" and have thousands of "happy customers". In my experience they are slow, disorganized, incompetent, unreliable by making "specialist" promises they cannot keep, and most of all they are guilty of shameless daylight!
Submit your Apple and Samsung devices to them for repairs at your own risk. And if you do, make sure they quote you in DETAIL for every step of the process - not just the actual repairs, but also for any prior "tests" or "inspections".
