Struggled to get assistance

About 3weeks ago I purchased an Acer notepad @cna-eastgate, soon during the 1st week I noticed a small crack on the screen I tried to make contact with the branch and they adviced that I could take it to the nearest cna which sells laptops after various attempts I was unlucky. This because I couldn't go back to eastgate due to some other commitments. The crack was tiny but as I open and close the laptop's (lid) I noticed that it started running through the screen and a week later the crack ran all across the screen. Finally I got a lead from cna rosebank to contact acer and I did just that. Its been days since my notepad has been booked in only today I'm told of a r1642 that I must pay (a week later) because I took it upon me to call no one bothered to listen to what happened and or update me. This morning I spoke with Steward who promised to callback. Still no sign of any service at all. Should've just continued with what I'm used to, HP to this day I've never had a complaint.
