I bought a HP 4730s notebook from HP Store in Sandton, in mid 2012. I added a HP Care Pack to the laptop so I have peace of mind if something should happen to the notebook. I did not receive the Care Pack with the notebook, it was only added to the notebook about 3 months after I purchased it from HP.
My vehicle was in mid 2013 together with my notebook. I went back to HP in Sandton and bought a new notebook with the understanding from the sales staff that the 3 Year Care Pack that I bought additional to the first notebook would be reinstated because only 6 months had gone by and there would still be 2.5 years left on the Care Pack that I purchased with the first notebook. HP is now refusing to add the original Care Pack to my new notebook notebook because they say that the Care Pack belongs to the notebook. I paid for the Care Pack for 3 years and HP should honour the 2.5 years that is still outstanding on the 3 Year Care Pack I bought from them.
