I want to complain about the horrific service I have been getting from Acer South Africa.
17 April-received an email from Acer spare parts after I have requested a quote for a new harddrive for my Ultrabook. They advised they don't have a HDD 7mm in stock but will order it. They gave the amount, which came to R1499.10
18 April-my laptop was collected from my house. I have spoken to a technician and the person said I don't have to re-insert my harddrive into my laptop. On April 30 I have phoned Acer several times to inquire what is going on. On 6 May, I received a quote for a new flash drive and a new screen. There was nothing wrong with my screen OR my flash drive. I just needed a new harddrive. I phoned in AGAIN and spoke to an operator who told me "there is nothing wrong with your hard drive". My laptop did not even have a harddrive IN. After several emails and phone calls, I received a new quote on 8 May (after I wrote an email to complain). On 13 May, I sent through proof of payment and requested to know what is happening now. They told me today I "rejected" the quote. I have requested customer care to phone me but nothing since.
