Failure to give feedback after 10 days

My vehicle was towed form my house on 29 March 2013.
Seeing that it was prior to easter weekend, I did not worry about hearing from them before Tuesday 2nd April 2013.
On Tuesday I received 2 sms's informing me that my vehicle has been handed to the technician and that I will be contacted with a quote.
By Wednesday afternoon I still had no news about my car. So I phoned. Spoke to a lady and she informed me with a lot of uncertainty about my car, she said she will phone me back, but never did.
I phoned again on Friday 5th and spoke to a gentlemen, who put me on hold and after a while I just put the phone down.
This morning 8 April 2013, I phoned again. This time I spoke to a lady that was very helpful and informed me that they have to order parts and that they cannot do that without my registration documents and copy of my ID.

If they knew this, why did no-one phone me a week ago? No I've been without a car for almost 2 weeks, and why because of incompetance.
