Bad Service - Misrepresentation on Tracking Record

I ordered a gift for a family member whom I would see on the Easter weekend. The delivery date was estimated Wed 27 Mar. The package cleared Customs late so delivery was delayed to Thursday for which I made special arrangements. At 3.30pm, no delivery yet and all phone numbers at the Cape Town (de Haviland) office just rang and rang. My office closed at 5pm, my secretary waited. The Call Centre established the office was open but not answering due to workload. I pleaded my case for delivery to no avail and was forced to accept a Saturday delivery, as Friday Was a holiday. I explained the inconvenience, my office being closed and my movements uncertain. I was assured of a phone call 1hr before delivery. Saturday evening, no phone call and no delivery. To my surprise and extreme frustration the online tracking report reads 'Thursday 19:08 Recipient refused delivery' and 'Saturday 10:14 Delivery attempted. Consignee premises closed.' I am particularly incensed because I was at my business premises from 11h00-12h00 and had tried until I was 'blue in the face' to have the package delivered on the Thursday... and someone writes that I refused delivery!!! Why did I not get a phone call??
