Unauthorised comtract migration

Sometime in May 2023, an agent from Mondo rewards center called me offering to upgrade my contract on behalf of MTN. I refused the offer. I thought this was over, only to find out in July that she had went on and activated it. MTN debited R5542,49 from my account. I called Mondo on the 26/07/2023 and l talked to an agent called David. He promised to investigate if l gave consent to the migration. He opened a case RCO422997. He never called me back to give feedback. A week later I called the call center. The agent who answered my call told me that after their investigations the found that the problem was with their agent. They gave me 2 weeks to rectify the process. After the 2 weeks there was no communication from Mondo advising me of the outcome. l called Mondo again because the other debit order was due from MTN. The agent on duty told me to ignore the debit order from MTN.

Since my contract at MTN was due for an upgrade, l went to an MTN shop in Alberton and upgraded my contract. l did this thinking l will stop the Mondo contact from acquiring more debt and to stop the migration. On the day in question, l also reversed the R5542,49 debit order. On 26/08/2023 MTN debited R2875,52 from my account.

l called Mondo to enquire about the reversal. They are now saying since l did the upgrade, they are no longer liable for the bill. Thus, they are refusing to perform a reversal a contract that l never gave consent to. l does not have a contract with Mondo. They have acknowledged that the problem was on their side. Now l am faced with a bill l know nothing about. Please help.
