On Saturday (27 April) I went to my local Game store in Centurion Mall where I purchased a Defy Tumble dryer as a gift for my mother. I paid additional R220 for delivery and was informed that they do not deliver on weekends, but that my item would definitely be delivered on Monday (29 April). I made special arrangements for somebody to be at the premises to accept delivery.
At 15h00 there was still no call and no delivery so I called GAME only to be informed that there would be no delivery as they were doing a stock take!!! (They should have known about a scheduled stock take weeks in advance and should have informed me not to waste time and money having someone waiting). I was then promised that delivery would happen definitely on Tuesday (30 April). Again I made arrangements for someone to be available, and again no call and no delivery by late afternoon. Again time and money wasted on my side. GAME response, they forgot to load the item!!! (). Tomorrow 1 May is a public holiday so again there will be no delivery.
I would like to know what is going on! I have disappointed 79 year old mother waiting for a gift only to be disappointed again and again!
