DHL couriered a package that was dispatched from India on 10/9/2013. It reached SA on 13/9/2013. They neglected to inform me of custom charges for 6days. I only received invoice after I requested it twice on 18/9/2013. No positive feedback or service at call center. After payment of custom charges, package reached Cape Town on 20/9 at 9am. No attempt to deliver all day. Arranged for delivery to be made on 21/9 between 12-2pm. No delivery. Was told would only be delivered on 23/9. I had to FETCH package from DHL office on 21/9. Supplier promised delivery in 5days. It took 12days. No delivery was made but DHL to supplier that delivery was attempted 3times. I am claiming shipping charges of $15 (R150) paid to supplier disbursement charge of R150 paid to DHL, a total of R300 as compensation for poor service and inconvenience of collecting my package when I expected it to be delivered to my door. I have complained to DHL head office have e-mailed details of complaint to Delia Bayman. DHL has refused reimbursement to me. I have paid for a service which has not been rendered to my satisfaction. I have full tracking record as proof of my complaint.
