Delaying insurance payout

On December 3&4th 2012 Stuttafords Van Lines moved our belongings from Vaalwater, Limpopo to Kyalami, Gauteng. Aside from numerous delays in arrival to pack and offload, (which was frustrating in itself) - our glass cover for our coffee table was broken as well as our Sony Bravia 47 inch television was damaged beyond repair.
The glass piece was replaced timeously but the expensive claim (the television) is yet to be replaced. When speaking to Adele Vella (PA to the Director) we were assured that out claim would be settled before our Xmas guests arrived on the 20th December. Today is the 8th February and we have yet to receive our payment. We have had numerous emails from Adele assuring us we are getting payment, and have even had 'proof of payment' emailed to us! But no monies have been received. The final straw was the last email received from Ms Vella stating as Tray International is independant of Stuttafords .."we have very little control over the administration process..." So although Stuttafords has been paid by us they are ultimately not taking responsibility. Stuttafords Van Lines definitely NOT the safest move you can make!
