Audi
Misuse of client' s car

I would like to lodge a complaint against Polokwane dealership service department for the misuse of kilometres for my car. I have reported a warning of the engine light that popped out a day after taking my car for 60000km service somewhere in March, I was told to bring it back so that they can check it of which I did, the very same day as I was driving back home from Audi Polokwane the light came back, I called the dealership and they told me they will order a part and they will call me when they have received the part so that I can bring the car for repair, they did call where they booked my car for the 26th March 2020 for a day repair. On the second day after they had repaired the car the warning light came back, I called the dealership for the third time and asked them to arrange for towing as I was then not sure how safe it was to drive the car with the engine warning light on. the car was towed on the 29 May 2020 and returned on the 2nd of June 2020 as they told me it was fixed. The very same week after being fixed the
warning light came back again and I reported it to the dealer and they said I must bring it back for the fourth time for fixing. I took it back on the 9th June 2020 where the kilometres were 66473 and the fuel level was on 3/4 full, my car was kept for almost a month without being fixed and I was not regularly updated of the process where I ended up lodging a complaint to Audi SA, I must say after Audi SA intervened it did not take a week for the dealership to speed the repair process. the day I collected the car after they had fixed it the fuel level was empty and the kilometres were 66731.i queried the fuel and kilometres with Audi SA customer care as I wanted to be reimbursed for my fuel, so apparently they called the service manager Mr Lesley at the dealership where he indicated that the car fuel was not full during the time of bringing in and they test drove the car for less than 100km and they can only give me R300 to reimburse me, the customer service indicated that there is nothing that they can assist me with regard to the petrol and kilometres used so I have to solve this with the dealership. I called the service manager Mr Lesley at the dealership and little did he know that I am having a signed document for the job card indicating a true reflection of all the km and the fuel level because he was disputing that the kilometres used for testing driving my car are more than 100km where else the job card interprets otherwise .i had to send the document to his phone because they used 258km of which I am not sure whether my car was being used for their own private things!!! the service manager then asked me how I want the matter to be settled where I indicated that I want to be reimbursed of the 258km used using the standard fuel tariff for Department of Transport where it calculates to R681.12. He was shocked by the this amount where he asked if I was kidding, I told him I wasn't then he went on to say "since you insist, my final amount will be R400", i asked him what he meant by the quoted statement then he said "400 fuel can give more than 300km", and to me this was a serious offence because this is not all about the petrol money, but the fact that my car was misused while being at the dealership and they can’t even account for the kilometres used because I honestly do not buy the test driving story. I would like to know what your policies say about the mileage to be used when test driving a car for repair assurance reasons and the R300 am being offered is it for admission of guilt or what???

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible

Kind Regards
angry Audi client
