Not happy with the service

I had received a rented vehicle from Avis of which unfortunately I was involved in an accident with it. Just after that I lost my job and as a result I couldn't pay the excess amount due to Avis, I was then handed over to their debt collecting agency Creditworx whom I then made an arrangement with them to pay them on a monthly basis, month after month I was called as they continued to capture my banking details incorrectly. I then decided to call them and ask for their banking details so that I can transfer the amount myself. I did make the payment as arranged which I am still doing till now. I was then shocked when a guy from legal department called me and told me that Avis says I am in breach of their contract as I said I don't want to pay them. I then called them again and spoke to Lee who was very much rude and I asked to speak to her manager Yvonne. Till now I haven't had anything from them and I am still paying that account. Can someone please help me as I would like to resolve this matter please.
