On 9/7/13 I was involved in an accident driving an Avis vehicle when A1 assist arrived on the scene, I told them it was an Avis car and that I needed to go and get the number from the car to call Avis and find out what I must do. Francios said that he had Avis number on his phone and will call them. He gave me the phone and I spoke to someone who said they were from Avis and that I must give the car to A1 assist. The car was driven away from the scene and the other driver took me to the doctor. When I called Avis a couple of days later they said they were unaware of the accident and that they will call A1 assist to find out where the car was. The car had been towed to A1 assits yard and not the place on the towing document. They also told Avis the car had been towed when it was driven away. I now am sitting with an account of over R9000 for towing and recovery. I tried to speak to the person in charge od A1 assist Ronel, even emailed her, but to date no response. How can people and deceive innocent victims who are traumatised by an accident. From the time of the accident till the car was booked in at their yard was roughly 3 hours.
