Avis Lawyers demanding payment for paid account

Hi,

Last year Avis handed me over to TransUnion for non-payment 'by mistake'. I contested this, and upon investigation Avis realized and admitted it was their mistake. My name was removed from TransUnion.
However, I received sms from their debt collectors 'demanding' I pay interest incurred. This is unfair as Avis themselves agreed they did me wrong and recalled my name. It is Avis mistake (not mine), for not informing their debt collectors (CreditWorx) that my name was not supposed to have been handed over to them to begin with.
I'm currently considering legal advice concerning this matter as my financial record is being violated.
