I was involved in an accident with 3de party that caused the accident on the 25th Feb 2013. Avis holds me responsible for the amount of R14526.31 they added the rental of the vehicle to that amount bringing it to R18999.24. They assured me they will follow up with the 3de party and put in a claim, if the claim fails I will be responsible for the amount. In the mean time I have paid a portion of the rental to Avis of R2498.83. I made contact with the 3de party insures today the 4 April 2013, they told me Avis have not contacted them at all. In the mean time Avis is threatening me to be handed over for the amount of R18999.24 not taking in account the monies I have paid. Nobody at Avis seems take responsibility.
