Bad Service/No Stock-A glas company with no stock

On the 23rd of January, a stone from people cutting grass on the side of the road hit my husband's rear windscreen. I phoned my insurance and they referred me to Glassfit or PG Glass. Glassfit didn't have stock and would only be able to get a new windscreen in 7 days. Due to the risk factor, I then tried PG Glass and they promised to have a new windscreen within 2 days and I thus placed the order with them. Two days later, when the windscreen was supposed to be replaced, David (from PG Glass) called and said that the supplier is out of stock and I have to wait a further 7 days. I was not happy because in that case I could have placed the order with Glassfit. After a further 7 days (31/01/2013), I called David and was told that he will call me back once he confirms with the supplier. On Saturday (02/02/13), I called again, because David never called me back and was told he is on another call and I should leave a message, which I did. Today is 4th of February and I still don't have a rear windscreen and no call from PG Glass. Do you people actually realise the risk of your actions and the unacceptable service that you have provided? David clearly thinks that he can make a fool of me.
