Good day

I heard of this wonderful deal for a few hundred rands to send a parcel via DHL to anywhere in the world. So excited by the deal I bought a shirt, hat and chocolates for my partner in Portugal. When i got to the Postnet branch i was told that it weighed 1.5 Kg so it would cost R1250. A bit annoyed but okay it is Christmas so I packed the box and they send it off.

A few days later I checked the tracking site and saw it was detained for further documents. So I called the customer line and they said I needed to include a commercial invoice. Okay well this was never told to me at any stage. So I made one and send it off. Later I checked the tracking site again and now they require more certificates?? I then called then the customer line and no one seemed to know what certificates the Portugese need. So I email two people and not one has responded.

I spend on total almost R2000 on that parcel and now its not going to get released. Thank DHL I wasted my money for nothing.

My waybill number is 7367132323.
