Further to my report of 13 November, I ad as follows: I opened the gearbox after 2 weeks and found a chip on the block. I was not willing to wait for a representative from Xlint to come out to me which they offered to do so I took the gearbox to an engineering company in Marlboro to weld. Little did I realise that the engineering company messed up the gearbox (burnt out a clutch). When I contacted Xlint they offered to take the car in which they collected on 28 Nov. Kobus explained to me what had happened and offered to repair the gearbox. This was in spite of the previous negative report posted on Hello Peter. I also received a refund for the courier charges I paid. This was an error on the part of the courier as they had already been paid by Xlint. Kobus has offered to get the car back to me most likely by Monday depending on how quick he gets the parts from his supplier. I finally see a very positive ending to this problem
