I bought my car from Hyundai Culemborg in 2010 along with a 5 year maintenance plan. The plan however, was never registered at head office, a fact I discovered when I took it in for a service. I was told that there was no record of my plan and that I needed to follow up with the dealership that sold me the car.
After taking this up with the dealership (Culemborg), I was told that it had all been sorted and I could take my car in for its service. After taking it in for a service a second tome I was once again told that there was no record of my plan and that I had to sort it out with the dealership.
Culemborg told me that they had no proof that I had paid for the maintenance plan and they would only be able to register it if I could produce a proof of purchase. So we went back into our bank records and managed to produce the proof of purchase. After sending it through the dealership I still have not heard a peep - either to conform that the plan has now been registered that I shouldn't have any more trouble with it, nor to apologise for all the inconvenience caused.
It's a shame that one dealership can effect the entire brand as when I upgrade I will be leaving Hyundai.
