I have always serviced my car at the McCarthy VW Constantia branch, and have had increasing problems and decreasing service.
The driver sides window started giving problems in 2011, where the window would stop half way upon opening, closing by itself and/or the window simply falling into the door.
I have taken my vehicle in regarding this problem at least 6 times, and had the mechanism replaced twice - still with no success. I am baffled that VW cannot fix their own product. My car went for service, and I question the window again, only to be told that there is no record of the window mechanism being replaced - which I found odd, as I had to pay for a new machanism and installation previosly. Received call next day, suddenly there is record of replacing the mechanism. And current one to be replaced, again!! 3rd time!
My car is never finished within the same day, and I am rarely informed of this, infact I have to phone them to find out when my car will be ready, with no clear answer, and have had to phone on a 3rd day on more than one occasion.
Courtesy car had faulty handbrake, warning beeps never stopped, car given with fuel in the red, litterly 10km left to drive.
Appalled with service!
