Wow, looking at the response that I see Caustic has received I am glad I did not buy a car from this dealership even though I had a look.
I must admit I first thought caustic was overdoing it with his comments but after looking at the arrogant response from Thekwini I can understand why he was so angry.
Regardless of whether Caustic was right (which I think he/she was) or wrong, it is in the interest of customer service and the customer always being right that he should have been given his money back.
It is obvious now that he probably was misrepresented and given wrong information - so sad to see Dealerships behaving in such a terrible way especially for five hundred rand.
This dealership probably makes millions, yet are willing to attract so much negative publicity just to save R500?? Penny wise pound foolish i guess.
Makes you wonder why they even bother smiling in front of cameras and make donations to schools - especially when that money seems to come from unethical sources.
In the end I think its a lesson to all of us, that when we look for a car, to try and not be caught out by dealerships such as this, especially under the facade of being a large dealership.
