Monday 30 September 2013, called 0763480078 advertising car rental on The Star's Classified. Wanted to rent automatic car. Ishmael Mohammed, owner said he had 2000 model BMW 525 which could be delivered same day & Audi A3 2005 model only available from Wednesday. Agreement: rent car 3months @ R4000/mth instead of R4500. A dirty, stuffy & scratched BMW 525 1992 model delivered. Called him, was unhappy. He said to use it till Audi's delivered. Paid driver/mechanic R3000. TO pay balance only when Audi's delivered. Drove scrap Monday afternoon, brakes alarming. Called mechanic, "car in good condition" he says. Tuesday, discovered licence disk expired 28 Feb 2013 & temp permit expired 1 October. Sent Ishmael sms. Wednesday call him, he says Audi not available anymore. Oil leak spotted @ work parking lot. Sent sms. Sms received Thursday morning - mechanic bringing papers & fixing brakes - no show. Friday narrowly escaped death. called him to pick up car & give back my money. Swears @ me. Refuses. Open case @ Rosebank Police. He reports detective (Indian) & Captain (Black) to Gauteng Commissioner - says they're biased towards me because I'm black. Scrap cost me R1000 petrol & oil pints
