The gear mechanism of my 17 month old Chevy Utility snapped and supposedly broke the housing it was in on Friday 20th September 2013. It's a warranty repair. The car was towed to GM Midrand and I got a lift home. Today is the Friday 4th October. My complaints are many:
1. No-one has kept me in the loop with regard the repair of my car. I have always had to call them for updates which were never forthcoming.
2. The car arrived at the dealer on Saturday. The said they would look at it Monday, but when I phoned them Wednesday evening they had only just discovered they needed to order a part from the factory which would take 3 to 4 days. The part has still not arrived; I only know this because they told me this today (2 weeks later) after I phoned them.
3. I was told a courtesy vehicle would be available on Friday 27th September - one week ago - today: still no vehicle.
4. After a vociferous dispute, I was told to expect a phone call 4 hours ago from a car rental agency who would provide a car. Still no car, no reference, no number to call.
5. It's 10pm Friday evening 4 Oct and GM is utterly oblivious as to how I'm going to get home tonight.
This is how GM decidedly operates.
