I phoned Avis Upington to find out what their email address is. The lady who answered the phone in reception was extremely rude to me when I asked her politely if she could spell the email address out for me and when I had to double check one of the letters (e or t). Although the entire phone call lasted less than 2 minutes, she made me feel like I was outright wasting her time when I was simply trying to make sure I had the right address. When I thanked her, she said a hasty "bye" and that was the end of our conversation. She was unnecessarily irritable, actually raised her voice to me and showed no telephone etiquette whatsoever. Although this is such a small thing, if a person works in reception, there are basics that need to be covered when dealing with clients... not making the client feel stupid or like an inconvenience is one of them. The way I was spoken to makes me reconsider the business I would have done with Avis in Upington.
