Kia Motors South Africa
Workmanship / Customer Relations

In December 2012 our Kia Sportage needed a gearbox change at 100000 kilometres. We were without a car for 2 months. Since then the car has not performed well, with a consistent noise from the front right of the car. The car was taken back on several occasions for the dealership to rectify. Various reasons were given to us about the noise; including that a bolt had not been tightened in the gearbox when it was changed and that the gearbox required oil. Before going on a caravan holiday in June we took the car back again requesting that the noise be rectified; as we were nervous about trusting the car. It was here that we were told that the gearbox required oil, which had been rectified. At the coast we took the car to a Quick Fit dealership in Amanzimtoti, as the noise was worse. They informed us that the Wheel Hub was damaged; Kia Port Shepstone confirmed this and installed the parts at a cost of almost R4000 to us [and 3 days of our holiday]. Kia Boksburg was made aware of this situation. The Principle Dealer was also notified. They promised feed back, up to now no word from them. Is this the service Kia is satisfied with?
