My sister bought a Hyundai i20 1year and 6 months ago and a complaint has been logged about the volume control button on the radio and this problem still has not been replaced. According to the dealer they are still waiting for spares but this was reported about one year ago!
The other complaint with the car is abnormal noise from the gearbox and this has also been reported a few months ago and this has also not been repaired. It seems the parts are only greased and cleaned and the problem is not solved. On the 19.09.2013 the Hyundai should have gone to JHB on a truck then the dealer informed us that they are going to drive it through to Jhb. This arrangement was also changed when we inquired why the car was not going to Jhb on a truck we were told a new gearbox will be fitted in Middelburg at the dealership.
Yesterday when we collected the car they told us they got a gearbox from Witbank and fitted it. It's a replacement gearbox not a new one.
This car is still under warranty and it we would like to know if this is normal procedure to fit second parts and we think this reflects badly on HYUNDAI as a company.
It will be appreciated if this problem can be corrected.
Regards
