I have a serious problem with a VW Golf 6 convertible that I bought from Southey Motors in Kimberley. We bought the car in September last year and we are experiencing a funny rattling noise on the car.
I took the car to the dealership three times and they have given several reasons. The first time, they told me that they have changed the brake pads and the brake disks on the wheels because the they was a error on the wheels.
I took the car again complaining of the noise, they told me that it is rattle is from the gearbox and they have recorded the noise and sent it to Germany for answers. They came back saying the rattle is normal in that car and should not worry about it.
I complained that I don't like rattle, they then organised a meeting with a Representative from VW, who suggested that we drive the car in manual mode instead of normal automatic and in that way we won't hear the rattling noise. I have tried that again but I am faced with same problem.
I am humbly requesting that VW takes back the car to factory to have it rechecked so that noise can be sorted. I have driven many DSG's models of VW and that noise is absent in those vehicles.
