I rented a vehicle from Avis at the Johannesburg International Airport. I collected the vehicle on the Thursday 27th of June 2013 and received 200km's per day free. I filled up the vehicle at the airport the Sunday afternoon and informed the person inspecting the vehicle that I filled it up. He checked and confirmed that it showed a full tank on the dashboard.
I now get billed R309 for fuel.
We enquiring about this Avis says it's because they filled up the vehicle. How can this be when I filled it up just before dropping the vehicle off.?
I will never rent another AVIS vehicle in my life is this is the way they do business. Dont get me wrong, if I didn't fill it up and they charged me for it I would have been happy to pay for it, but paying for fuel at the service station and being billed for fuel again by AVIS is just to much.
