My car was involved in an accident. The panelbeater ordered the parts the beg. June and my car was booked in 10 June for repairs. On 19 June I found out that the boot spare part was on back order and would only be available on 6 July. In the meantime, the panelbeater had stripped the car as apparently the parts get delivered in drips and drabs and they weren't aware of the out of stock until then. I was extremely annoyed as my insurance only covers car hire for 30 days and it will be used up before my car is repaired and I don't have alternative transport. I posted a complaint on the Mercedes Benz website and their response has been totally unsatisfactory i.e. when I call to follow up, they always say the person is busy. I've left messages and they never phone you back, so I keep on trying and eventually get hold of the person. When I've spoken to the person I never get a proper answer as to why there's a delay or firm confirmation as to when the part is coming. They look in the system and quote a date but seem vague. They just seem very disinterested and don't seem to see anything wrong with the huge delay in getting the part or the inconvenience it's causing me.
