My car is a 2010 Golf 6 (1.4 TSI trendline) and its current mileage is 46 800kms, I bought this car at Barloworld in Durban as a demo in October 2010. Since then I have encountered numerous issues, from some sound it was making, wipers needing changing to rear brake changing and the latest being the coolant light (or water running out quick). I have sent the car in even without booking to request help as both my water and oil levels keep running low quick. In April (22) I took the car in for a check since the coolant light was coming back almost every second week. In the afternoon when I went to fetch my car I was told nothing is wrong, no leaks nothing identified and all I need to do is add water when the coolant light comes back on. In May the coolant light was back as advice I added water and then the light came back 2 days ago. I, I took the car in today and just received a call and I am told that the water pump needs replacing and my car is now out of warranty and this will cost me approximately R3500. I am told my warranty ended at the end of April. Why was this not identified all along whilst my car warranty? I am being robbed since under warranty this would be covered!!!
