Hi I purchased a second hand 2010 Golf GTI in November 2011, from the master cars selection at Barons VW PMB. The vehicle is awsoome. How ever after having it for the first week, the engiine light misteriously came on turned out that their was an issue with the boost pipe so i booked it in for a check up the following day, when i was shocked to find out the the VAS at VW mentioned that the vehicle had possible had modifications done by thte previous owner to the turbo and intercooler. And after all that it was still sold s a master car?! The sales man should have know or mentioned this to me before purchasing the vehicle. Mid way through 2012 whilst driving around PMB the engine died Apon having it diagnosed by Barons PMB is was found that one of the cam chains had snapped and the entire cylinder head would need replacing?! It wasnt 2 months before the car was back in the garage again with the enigne light comming back on. They applied a short term fix. Since I have had the car it has been in the workshop more tiimes then i can count. And now the hill hold, ESP, central locking isnt working and the engine light is on yet again.
