After reporting my problem to the Ombudsman and the ombudsman writing to Mr Rob Graham of Autobarn and asking him to respond to my complaints. Mr Graham did not have the courtesy to reply to the ombudsman. It now seems that as, and I quote the Ombudsman, " Auto Barn, Jukskei Park is not yet contractually bound to the office of the Motor Industry Ombudsman (MIO) and is therefore under no obligation to follow any recommendations made by this office"
As a result they are unable to help me any further. So if you buy from them and they renege as they have with me the Ombudsman, who we all believe will help when we have problems, will not be able to assist you here.
It seems you can just do what you want to as long as you are not affiliated to the Motor industry. I find it incredible that this can happen in this day and age.
The MIO has advised me to now approach the National Consumer Council, which I intend to do along with getting the press involved.
