In January I bought a VW Touareg V10 which was advertised on the stand at R179999-00 but that was the first mistake I was told that it was in fact R199999-00. I still paid a R25000 deposit collected the car after pointing out various problems which I was assured would be fixed. I left the next day for overseas where I work and my wife returned the car. Six months later the vehicle is still not registered there are multiple faults which have not been repaired, I have had the vehicle for 4 nights and driven maybe 200km's I returned it every time as there was always another problem or the last problem was not fixed. Autobarn were quoted R63K to repair the car by VW but they declined to do that and actually spent R4K instead and then took the car to some back yard mechanic in Boksburg to try and fix it. (incidentally they have racked up over 1000kms in the car.) I have had excuse after excuse and in the end I gave up and have reported the problem to the Ombudsman of the Motor Industry and have laid a case against them. In the meantime they are trying to sell the car again which will be very interesting to the new owner I am sure.
My Advice is DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER
