My wife and I started our quest for a decent restaurant fitting for our anniversary almost in disastrous circumstances by picking an Italian (which we thought it to be) restaurant called Memmos. After being served calamari that would do Dunlop tyres justice and raw pasta and bitter wine, we headed straight to Eagle Canyon Spur where the staff were so attentive and friendly and quick to supply a meal fit for a King! Again calamari, but this time round, soft and scrumptious! Wine of the finest quality and sweet!
Just to round things off, a wonderful desert was supplied on the house - sparklers and all!!! The large plate was beautifully decorated by the chef with "Happy Anniversary" on it in delicious chocolate! I should know as I licked that plate clean! Thanks to the team at Spur for making our evening unforgettable. A few days later, seeing as we were so impressed, we went back there for a midday meal. The same great service and attentiveness from the small petite dark haired manageress who also attended to our needs the 1st. time round.
