We visited our local Spur yesterday, the 21st of July, for Sunday lunch but it didn't live up to our expectations. Me and my wife had the latest Spur Special, the Club Steak and Buffalo wings. First of all the waiter that escorted us in wanted to force us to sit at one of her tables which we refused. We then waited for quite some time to be served by a waiter at whose table we have chosen to sit at. The manager eventually came to take our drink order that wasn't even passed to our eventual waiter. Then the food came... I don't know who Spur's meat supplier is but the Club Steak was not up to standard. The meat was full of sinew and came with lots of fat. My wife's meat was not well done as ordered and to top it all the Hot Veg, the Butternut, was so watery it was running across my whole plate. We frequently visit this Spur due to the high level of service, atmosphere and the great food but this was by far the worst meal that we have eaten at this Spur.
