Just left Ocean Basket now and am in Beira Alta where the service is 100 times better from waiters. The attitude of the assistant manager Mandla is so poor that I will never return. We ordered a plater for 2 and wanted to substitute the mussels or calamari tubes. I was informed by Mandla that we can only substitute for 1 item. He only offered calamari. This would mean that we would have 3 portions of calamari. He did not even offer hake. When asking him for his managers name he gave me a friends name Thomas or Thompson and his cell number. Upon meeting Thompson it was the guy at the entrance who was assisting with seatings. When asking Thompson who is the franchise owner, Thompson answered a call on his cellphone on ignored us. We eat regularly at Ocean Basket as we are black card holders however I will not be returning. Just for thought, is that this is not the first time we received bad service from Mandla. Previously we received dirty plates from the waiter and ice cold rolls. He also had the same bad attitude. If you keep staff like Mandla you will loose customers. Remember we pay for service not just food.
