The new Nando's opened at the new Checkers Centre in Sunward Park. As the weather was bad and I was curious I chose to go through the drive through. It took me half an hour just to get to the window to order! This was not because the branch was busy or there was a long line of cars. There were about 20 cars in total. While I was waiting I counted 26 cars turn around and go to Mc Donalds because we were just not moving. The line in front of the counter had about 7 people in it. I believed that once I had ordered and paid things would go faster. 30 minutes later I was still waiting!!! The woman at the window kept on messing up the orders and people were at the collections window for 10-15 minutes at a time.
When I was finally fed up I asked for the manager and was told it was not his problem. He then ignored me and told me if I want to complain then that is my issue.
If this is anything to go by, I will NEVER go back there and I will NEVER recommend the restaurant. I will rather go to Mc Donalds 10 meters away where my food will take 10 minutes at the most and I can deal with pleasant people. I have never had a manager be so blatantly rude to me.
This is not a Nando's standard!
