We sat in the enclosed area outside the restaurant & although breezy, this was ok until we kept getting a foul smell wafting by. When I called the waitress she said that's because we are seated by the drain.! When we asked to be moved, she seemed reluctant and gave the option of moving to a table, either in the middle of the drain, or further outside the restaurant which was quite cold. We obviously chose to sit in the cold than on the drain.
The fact that the waitress knew about the stinking drain, tells me that they are aware of the situation & yet still expect people to sit there and eat their meal.
I wrote to complain and got a response from the owner who did not apologise, but gave me a reason for why they have outside seating, which was irrelevant to my complaint. He says he gathers that the waiter offered us a seat inside. I don't where he got this info from, cause she didn't.
There is no apology for inconvenience, no ownership and he totally disregarded the fact that there are tables by the drain and that this is unhygienic; he did go on about how he understands that its cold in that section, which was not the reason for my complaint. So unhelpful! Not going back!
