My party of 4 drove from PE to Jeffrey's Bay for breakfast on Saturday. We arrived after 11. We then proceeded to look for a place to breakfast and settled on Tampa Spur. We were escorted to our table where the breakfast menus were laid out. When approached for our order, we ordered breakfast and were told that they only served breakfast till 11am. It was 11:40 I pointed out that the breakfast menus were on the tables as was the case with many other tables. Our waitron then indicated that he would enquire of the manager. He came back and said that they couldn't as the oil had been discarded. Just then the table next to us were served their breakfast. It was 11:42. Does Spur take 42 minutes to prepare a breakfast? I also noted that the only items on the breakfasts which required oil for frying could be their chips. Eggs, bacon are griddle items... so why were the other couple served breakfast after 11 assuming that it takes less than 42 minutes to prepare and not us? I have my suspicions why special concessions were made for the other party. We then left with a bad taste in our mouths and breakfasted at a very pleasant restaurant! So Spur Jeffs, what is your excuse? Not on!
