Staff clearly hate having customers

We made a booking at Polana for 6pm on a Saturday. We got there 5 minutes early, it took the Manager on duty more than 5 minutes to acknowledge we were standing right at the counter in front of him. A waiter had to bring us to his attention. When he looked up it was as if to say 'What the do you want? ' And said, you know the kitchen only opens at 6? He couldn't find our booking, so we got the worst table - right at the entrance to the bathroom and supply cupboard. I wanted to order a Daquiri, but the jug was broken. The red wine list is shocking, no options. The manager continued to scowl and look miserable, as did the rest of the staff he had conversations with, we were close enough to hear. THe menu was extremely limited, one fish dish for a restaurant right next to the ocean? While we waited for our friends to join, we decided to text them and go somewhere else, in that time another couple left the restaurant as well because of bad service. We ended up going to the top section of the Brass Bell and had a great time. We will never go to Polana again!
