In the December holiday we drove all the way from Johannesburg to Cape Town, and we decided to go to SPUR in Beaufort West for a proper breakfast. The reason for choosing this branch, is due to the fact that we had excellent service the previous time (beginning of 2012) we visited them.
However, this time the waiter got the drinks mixed up and brought us the wrong drinks. That was not the main issue, seeing that they were busy. The main concern was the fact that we had to wait for over an hour for our breakfast to be served. It was the normal R20 special breakfast for a few people. It was totally unacceptable, we had a tight schedule of when we wanted to arrive in the Cape. Then on top of it, the eggs were still runny and not properly back. The scrambled eggs were not even eaten at all.
Normally we would prefer the SPUR breakfast over the other, but in this case we will think twice before eating breakfast at SPUR ever again. When we returned from our trip we drove through Beaufort West and rather stopped in Colesburg to have a proper breakfast.
